Worship Grow Serve Share
has a special place in the growth of St. Mark's because for two years we were challenged each week with a new ending to the question, "Why can't I?" For example, one week we were asked,
Why can't I love my enemies?
Along with each question, we were given a thought-provoking bible verse:
Instead, "If your enemies are hungry, feed them.
If they are thirsty, give them something to drink.
In doing this, you will heap
burning coals of shame on their heads.Romans 12:20 NLT
In other words, he will feel ashamed of himself for what he has done to you.
The question was then restated as a possibility.Last of all, we were given tools for change.
With God's help, I can love my enemies!
I can ask God to soften my heart.
