Rev. Felicia P. Hopkins
St. Mark's Senior Associate Pastor
As an inspirational speaker, Rev. Felicia Hopkins is an influential spokesperson who motivates her audience to action, drawing from personal experience and shared wisdom to craft and deliver life-changing messages. Her inner strength and energetic persona have an undeniably infectious effect on those she encounters. Her ability to effectively communicate essential principles is a product of her never-ending thirst for knowledge. Pastor Felicia provides relevant and practical guidance for her audience on the path to helping people develop new strength and passion for the struggles that life can sometimes bring.
Reverend Hopkins is a native of Buffalo, New York, and holds degrees from Valparaiso University and Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary. She was first called to the ministry in 1992 and has served as Associate Pastor and Pastor in the United Methodist Church, and as Director of the Wesley Foundation United Campus Ministry and the Praxis program at the University of Texas at El Paso. She currently serves as our Senior Associate Pastor.
Pastor Felicia brings with her valuable experience from the for-profit world where she was a manager for both Wal-Mart and Pepsi-Cola Companies before entering the ministry. She was a Chaplain (Major) in the United States Army Reserves, having served an unaccompanied year (2003) tour in Germany in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Her awards are numerous and include Distinguished Military Graduate Officer, 100 Best American Female College Graduates, and El Paso Woman of the Year 2003. Most important to her, however, is the title of mother. She is the mother of two wonderful sons, Adam and Samuel.
